My name is Jim Patrick and I currently reside in the Midwest along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. I have been involved in the residential design industry and also specialized in specification of building materials for the last 33 years.

I spend every day designing and specifying materials for projects ranging from modest room additions and remodels to million dollar custom homes. Nearly every client I work with begins this process with reservations and fears based on a lack of knowledge about the process they are about to undertake.

A major part of the satisfaction in my work is providing them with every area of information they desire to make to process both enjoyable and cost effective for them.

This blog will contain a variety of articles based on timely and current design, planning, and material selection for every aspect of home building and home remodeling.
